One Underwriting, previously Freeman McMurrick, was established in 1975 by Geoff Freeman and John McMurrick. It was bought by Aon in 2006. The One Underwriting brand, which began on 1 January 2016, focuses on specialist areas, such as motor; plant and construction; hospitality and leisure; aviation; niche liability; and complex risk property and liability.
