SMEs are going to get caught up in climate change reporting
Tuesday 8 September @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Presenter: Bob Anderson – Founder
Although SMEs are not directly subject to ASRS reporting, they will be indirectly captured through Scope 3 obligations. Larger entities — including insurers and major brokers — must disclose indirect (Scope 3) greenhouse gas emissions from their entire value chain
By the end of this session, participants will:
- Understand how ASRS (AASB S1 & S2) and ESG regulations impact underwriting, disclosure, and capacity decisions.
- Identify emerging ESG-related risks and liabilities across insured sectors, including Scope 3 value chain exposures.
- Apply ESG factors in risk selection, pricing, and client engagement.
- Enhance governance frameworks to integrate ESG into underwriting and portfolio management.
- Position their agency for sustainable growth and stronger market reputation through ESG readiness.
