Context:  With the imminent commencement of CPS230 for the insurance market in July 2025 and the heightened focus of the regulators on third party insurance distribution arrangements (from ASIC’s focus on end-to-end product governance under the DDO and cyber risk management to APRA’s pursuit of capital charges for poor oversight of delegated underwriting arrangements), underwriting agencies should be expecting closer attention from capital providers, impacting contracting arrangements, product ownership and oversight and risk management and audit arrangements.

 Learning objectives: The session should provide agencies with an understanding of the current regulatory context driving the focus on underwriting agencies and provide some practical guidance to prepare agencies to deal with the expectations of capacity providers driven by CPS230 and other regulatory compliance needs.
