Our Head of Operations & General Counsel has been known to have done a lot of stupid things for charity. From driving a tuk tuk across India and Nepal, to doing the 15,000km Mongol Rally from London to Ulan Bataar in a Ford Fiesta, to last year doing the Shitbox Rally where we drove an $800 Falcon from Sydney to Alice Springs via the Gulf of Carpentaria! This might actually be the most outrageous yet! Together with our National Business Development Manager, Chris Varkoly, they will be risking life and limb climbing the 15 tallest peaks in Australia in 3 days! They are raising money in aid of the Cancer Council of Australia and every donation will help. The Cancer Council is Australia’s leading non-government cancer charity, and the only charity that works across every aspect of every cancer, from research to prevention and support. Their vision is a cancer free future. Cancer is a curse that has affected so many of our lives. Our loved ones, our friends and colleagues. Almost everyone has been touched in some way by this curse. By supporting our little adventure, you’ll be helping them in their tireless work in supporting people affected by cancer when they need it most. Chris Varkoly said: “I can’t believe that JBD has talked me into this, but I’ve been training hard for it and really looking forward to it. The Cancer Council is such a phenomenal charity and I’m really stoked to be doing this with my good mate, JBD.” “Every dollar raised is going to be matched by the business, so giving $1 is like giving $2! The chances that you or someone you know will one day be impacted by cancer is astounding. Chris or I aren’t much good at medical research, but together we can make an impact in other ways.” said Burke-Douglas. Anyone wishing to support Jaydon and Chris in their charity fundraising efforts can donate here.
