As 2024 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been a transformative year for UAC. Thanks to your unwavering support and engagement, we’ve made significant strides in strengthening our organisation and enhancing the value we deliver to our members.

This year has been marked by significant developments that will shape UAC’s future. One of our most important achievements has been the modernisation of our constitution. These updates strengthen our governance framework, introduce formal election rules for directors, and establish a new code of conduct. These changes ensure we remain adaptable and forward-thinking while upholding the highest standards of professional integrity.

We’ve also completed a comprehensive review of our member pricing structure, making it more equitable by reflecting the size and needs of different organisations. The positive feedback we’ve received confirms that this initiative has provided greater value to our membership base.

The evolution of our market exchanges has been another highlight of 2024. By refining our approach and emphasising genuine market connections, we’ve seen remarkable growth – with exhibitor numbers up by 12.4% and broker attendance increasing by 43% to 2,738. This success reinforces our unique position in facilitating meaningful industry connections and demonstrates the tangible value we provide to our members.

None of these achievements would have been possible without the dedication of our exceptional team. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Tracey, Daniella, and our entire Board for their unwavering support and commitment to UAC’s mission. Their expertise and dedication continue to be crucial to our organisation’s success.

We’re already working on exciting initiatives for 2025, including expanded professional development programs and enhanced member benefits. I am excited to share more details with you early in the new year as we continue to strengthen UAC’s role as your trusted industry partner.
