Congratulations to Drew Schnehage (Managing Director, Innovation Group Australia) on her new role as CEO of the combined entities.

With over three decades of experience in the insurance industry in South Africa, Drew began her career in claims before working with two insurers and a corporate broker, eventually joining a third-party administrator. Known for her strong focus on cultivating client relationships, Drew has successfully established and expanded two businesses from the ground up.

Thriving in innovative and entrepreneurial settings, Drew leads by example and firmly believes in the rewards of hard work. She emphasizes the importance of nurturing effective teams and fostering trust through honesty. At just 32 years old, Drew became a director and in 2008, she seized the opportunity to launch an Underwriting Agency and grow South Africa’s first-ever high-net-worth portfolio.

Under Drew’s leadership, her team was honoured with the Underwriting Agency of the Year award in 2016. After seven years, she sold her agency to Hollard Insurance and joined their personal lines division, contributing to the development of new product offerings. Subsequently, she was recruited by Innovation Group in South Africa as Commercial Director, later relocating to Australia in 2019 as Managing Director to regenerate the business.

Since assuming leadership at Innovation Group Australia, Drew has successfully revitalized a culture centred on collaboration, integrity, and gender diversity. She has reinvented Innovation Group Australia as the leading Third-Party Administrator managing motor claims end-to-end. Recognized as Insurance Business Elite Women in 2021 and 2023, she was also featured on the Insurance Business Hot List in 2022 and 2023.

Brendan has played a pivotal role in our journey, guiding Control Expert from its inception to a highly successful entity in the claims management and auto insurance market. His adeptness in pioneering cutting-edge technology has not only boosted efficiency but also significantly enriched our service delivery capabilities.
Beyond his professional achievements, Brendan has deeply impacted our team. His commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment has left an enduring impression on all of us.
