Gold bullion prize for a broker at UAC-Lloyd’s Village

One lucky broker attending the Underwriting Agencies Council-Lloyd’s Village at the 2017 NIBA Convention will leave the event $5,000 richer.

UAC and Lloyd’s are giving $5,000 of gold bullion to an insurance broker who obtains stamps or signatures from at least 25 of the 39 participating UAC members in the UAC-Lloyd’s Village at the NIBA Convention at the Sydney International Convention Centre from Sunday 10 September to Tuesday 12 September 2017. The winner will be selected by a random draw of all eligible entries.

The winner then gets the opportunity to go into a second draw for an alternative prize of a return trip to San Francisco, valued at more than $10,000.

The winner (or a UAC or Lloyd’s nominee if the winner cannot be present at the draw) will select a number from one to 25, one of which will correspond to the winning number for the San Francisco trip.

If the broker wins the San Francisco trip, they will receive that prize in substitution for the gold bullion. If they do not win the alternative prize, they keep the gold bullion.

If the alternative prize is won, a second draw will take place and another eligible broker will receive the gold bullion prize.

The prize draw will occur during the afternoon tea break on Tuesday 12 September. Full terms & conditions for the draws will be included in the UAC-Lloyd’s Village passport entry form available to brokers.

UAC General Manager William Legge said the UAC-Lloyd’s Village was always a highlight of the Exhibition Hall at the NIBA Convention. “This year, NIBA has provided free entry to the Exhibition Hall for NIBA members who are not registered delegates. Given they have the opportunity to win $5,000 of gold bullion and, potentially, a chance to win a return trip to San Francisco, I expect a lot of brokers will head to Sydney’s new International Convention Centre,” he said.

UAC member Beazley Underwriting has underwritten the San Francisco prize’s value if it is won. An independent auditor will oversee the lucky number draw.
