Most underwriting agencies writing Property cover will have to join the Cyclone Reinsurance Pool (CRP) at the same time as their capacity provider. This session covers the following:
- What is the CRP, who has to enter and what policies are covered?
- What responsibilities do underwriting agencies have once their capacity provider enters the pool?
- What are the pricing considerations and implementation challenges that need to be worked through?
Finity will also provide a demonstration of the CRP calculation in their rating engine (Finrater), which allows CRP premiums to be directly passed onto customers. Finrater is available for underwriting agencies to use and can be integrated into existing pricing systems.
This session will cover important and timely information for any underwriting agencies that are likely to enter the CRP and who want to understand the practicalities and challenges that need to be considered.”
