Two lucky brokers are $1,000 richer after attending the Underwriting Agencies Council’s Adelaide Underwriting Expo this week.
Vanessa Grandison, an assistant broker from MGA Insurance Brokers, and personal lines manager Daniel Robinson, from Murdoch Insurance Brokers, each won a $1,000 travel voucher, courtesy of UAC and Corporate Traveller.
To be eligible for a prize, brokers had to visit more than 35 of the UAC member exhibitors, scanning the UAC Events app to record their visits.
Both were delighted winners, with Vanessa proclaiming she had “never won anything in my life” and an excited Daniel saying he planned to travel “somewhere warmer than Adelaide”. “Woohoo, that’s fantastic,” he said when advised of his win.
During the Expo, UAC donated $2,000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which was gratefully received on its behalf by fundraising manager Anthea Rice. UAC has now donated a total of $14,000 to RFDS in Adelaide.
The Expo was UAC members’ introduction to Corporate Traveller as UAC’s preferred travel provider. Corporate Traveller donated the vouchers given to brokers.
UAC had a record number of 68 exhibitors at the Adelaide Underwriting Expo and almost 200 brokers visited throughout the day.
UAC general manager William Legge said it was a very successful day for all exhibitors and the Adelaide Underwriting Expo would continue to be a key event on the annual UAC event calendar.
